VoiceStudio brings local AI voice tools to Windows, Mac, and Linux

VoiceStudio, an open-source project at voicestudio.sh, is a local-first AI voice studio for cloning voices, designing new ones, dubbing video, transcribing audio, and building audiobooks. It supports 646 languages, runs without an account, and exposes a local OpenAI-compatible API. The free desktop app is AGPL-3.0, with a paid Pro build for commercial use. It runs on Windows 10/11 x64, Linux, macOS Apple Silicon, and Docker. The project lists 8 GB RAM as the minimum, 16 GB+ recommended, and about 10 GB for models; a GPU is optional. Intel Macs cannot run the local backend, and Windows on ARM has no native build yet, so “any PC” comes with those caveats.
Why it matters: private, no-subscription voice AI is no longer limited to one operating system.
