RTX Spark Brings Local AI to Slim Windows PCs

According to NVIDIA, NVIDIA said its RTX Spark laptops are available today from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI, with additional systems to follow, bringing slim, premium Windows PCs that pair NVIDIA's AI and RTX graphics with local computing. The machines use a single superchip with up to 128GB of unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI performance, enough to run large AI models and agents on Windows. "Windows PCs powered by RTX Spark unlock powerful new local compute for creators and developers, expanding what they can create, build and run on Windows," said Yusuf Mehdi, executive vice president at Microsoft. Even though it runs Windows, it is still Windows on ARM, so the usual downsides and app-compatibility limits remain.
Why it matters: A slim Windows PC with local AI and RTX power could make AI creation and gaming feel native.
